“Rare link to Canterbury’s settler history reopens” NZHPT Media Release (27th Feb 2014)

"Damaged by the Canterbury earthquakes, one of the region’s oldest – and most treasured – historic places will reopen to the public on Saturday 15 March."

When: Saturday 15 March between 11am and 2pm.
Where: Cotons’ Cottage, Cotons Road, off Bealey Road, Hororata.

Christchurch Heritage : NZHPT PowerPoint Presentation To the Christchurch City Council

Rob Hall (GM Southern NZHPT) gave  a  PowerPoint presentation to the Christchurch City Council  (12th Feb 2014). The PowerPoint (converted to images)  includes pie chart diagrams that illustrate the proportion of registered heritage buildings lost and those that are still at risk.

“Victorian Dream at Alberton” Jan 10-26 2013 : NZHPT Media Release (20th December 2013)

NZHPT logo-New"One of Auckland’s up-and-coming artists (Yvonne Abercrombie) will feature some of her work in an exhibition at Alberton, the Mt Albert mansion cared for by the New Zealand Historic Places Trust (NZHPT)."

The exhibition runs from January 10-26 (note Alberton is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays). Admission to Victorian Dreams is free, though people can explore Alberton for $10 per adult (school-aged children free).
