"...The City of Savannah includes the Savannah Historic Landmark District which includes many sites of historic importance, both regionally and nationally....
The study found that a house located within the historic district received a price premium of around 20%, compared to an otherwise similar house located outside the historic district. This is one example of hedonic pricing being applied to estimate the value of living within a heritage district. "

Heritage 101 – Heritage Christchurch Open Day Sunday afternoon 19 October 2014

The recently reopened Heritage Christchurch set in the iconic 101 year old Old Government Building on Cathedral Square will open its doors to the public for tours on the afternoon of Sunday 19 October during the Christchurch Heritage Festival.
The tours will be at 1PM, 2PM and 3 PM. Tours are free with a voluntary gold coin going to the Historic Places Canterbury welcomed.

"The Heritage Connections On Worcester"  Guided Tours start  11pm at Shop 7 Cathedral Junction and will be approximately one hours duration.

Gunyah homestead at Glenroy will be the highlight of a bus day trip being organised for Sunday October 12 by Historic Places Mid Canterbury.

The homestead suffered serious earthquake damage in 2010 and 2011 when chimneys collapsed. However all restoration has been completed and Gunyah now offers boutique accommodation and meals. A talk by the owner on the history of the estate will follow lunch, with time to explore the woodland gardens, parts of the homestead and out buildings. (more…)
