"Heritage Christchurch opened its doors to the public on Sunday afternoon the 19th of October as part of the Beca Heritage Week in Christchurch."
"Historic Places Aotearoa Canterbury guides took tours of the building. Several hundred people visited the building in the busy open day and many participants came along in period costume."

The recently reopened Heritage Christchurch set in the iconic 101 year old Old Government Building on Cathedral Square will open its doors to the public for tours on the afternoon of Sunday 19 October during the Christchurch Heritage Festival.
The tours will be at 1PM, 2PM and 3 PM. Tours are free with a voluntary gold coin going to the Historic Places Canterbury welcomed.

"The Heritage Connections On Worcester" Guided Tours start 11pm at Shop 7 Cathedral Junction and will be approximately one hours duration.
The tours run from Monday 2oth October -Monday 27th October
"The walking guided tour will take you from the Christchurch Club to the Museum so wear comfortable shoes. "

The following is the the text of the Historic Place Canterbury Deputation made to the Christchurch City Council Community, Recreation and Culture Committee (CRaC). Historic Places Canterbury requested that the Committee recommend the C.C.C. hold a heritage event this year. (The Staff Report on the CRaC Agenda recommended that "Heritage Week" be deferred until next year and that a scaled down Heritage event not be held this year.) (more…)
