Victorian Tea Party on Saturday January 23rd at 2pm- At 1/24 Peter Street, Ashburton

If dainty cakes, cucumber sandwiches, fancy tea cups and a charming garden setting around a fabulous 1880s opulently decorated villa appeal to you, make sure you ring and book your place at the Victorian Tea Party. This is only for members, although singles can bring a friend or partner. Our grateful thanks to Kath Shea for the opportunity to hold this.

HPMC committee member and Archivist at the Ashburton Museum and Heritage Centre, Kathleen Stringer, will bring along some clothing for you to admire and will talk a little about the Victorian era. If you haven’t seen the inside of Kath Shea’s amazing home there will be time to tour, and for those of you who have, you will probably want to look again! Small charge of $5 each to help cover catering costs.
