Children’s Lawrence History Timeline On Display In Shop Window
Lawrence has a great way of promoting their heritage- a timeline display made up of children's writings and drawings about Lawrence's characters and history. This is displayed in a vacant heritage shop on the main street. What a great idea!
Lawrence BNZ Building and Interpretation Panel
Nearly every Heritage/ Character building in the Main Street has an interpretation panel. The buildings may be in some cases a "work in progress" but the interpretation of their history is not.
Comment: In many New Zealand Towns and Cites there are too many heritage buildings with signs informing you of their status but with no explanation of their history. Lawrence is determined that you will be given every opportunity to partake of their buildings' history!
