Historic Places Canterbury

Historic Places Canterbury (HPC) is an incorporated society whose aim is the celebration and retention of our built heritage.

HPC is made up of Heritage Supporters, Advocates and Activists who feel that keeping and maintaining our Built Heritage is crucial to  knowing who we are. The stories of our Built Heritage are fun and interesting and they are our stories!

HPC organises regular Members Events.
Our Membership Fee  is great value for only $30.00 a year!

Even our HPC AGM is a must attend event!

You set the level of your involvement. There is no pressure!

The HPC Committee lobbies, networks, write submissions and letters to the Editor and media releases and does all things you would expect from a group of organised individuals. Recently HPC in partnership with the Chch Civic Trust and concerned individuals successfully campaigned for the retention and restoration of Christchurch's much beloved Victoria Square!

HPC whilst independent is a member of Historic Places Aotearoa.

If you would like to join us-  then email us and our very organised Membership Sec will be in touch. canty@historicplacesaotearoa.org.nz

If you have any concerns about Heritage in Canterbury you are most welcome to contact the Chair Mark Gerrard Mobile 021 157 5043.
