Greetings Heritage Supporters, Advocates and Activists
This years Historic Places Canterbury AGM will be held:
Ross Gray’s Studio @ The Chambers 241 Gallery
241 Moorhouse Ave
5.30pm Wednesday 17th September
After the AGM there will be drinks and nibbles
Ross Gray will give an overview of Heritage Street Advocacy – including the protests and NZ’s heaviest Open Letter
(Ross’s Studio is behind the main Gallery)
Ross Gray’s Studio should feature in any history about Canterbury’s Heritage in the time of CERA.
It is this space where many of the heritage placards and banners were made for the Save Our Heritage Rally, the Cathedral Rally, the Cant Democracy Rally, the Old Normal School, the Civic Offices protest in Peter Scoular Park and the Majestic Protests and many many public gatherings.
Remember New Zealand’s heaviest (heritage) open letter to Parliament? Ross was involved …
It will be great to see you at what will be an interesting AGM.
If you have any questions on Heritage- come along and we’ll do our best to update you!!
Kind Regards
Mark Gerrard
