The 2017 Annual General Meeting of HPA is to be held at the Landing Service Building,2 George Street,Timaru,on Saturday 4th November, at 11a.m..
The exact programme is currently being finalized. An outline is given below, and the details will be posted as soon as they are available.
First,a welcoming event will be held on Friday evening at 5.30pm at the South Canterbury Museum,Perth Street,Timaru.It is proposed that the AGM commence at 11a.m on Saturday. There is an executive election this year.
The AGM will be followed by lunch and talks and discussions on heritage issues,with speakers being arranged. Andrew Coleman,the Chief Executive of Heritage New Zealand will be in attendance.
Speights Ale House is a tenant of the Landing Service building, which is owned by the Timaru Civic Trust, and it is suggested that participants dine there together on Saturday evenings at own cost. On Sunday morning David McBride,an architect who is also Chair of the Timaru Civic Trust, will lead a heritage walk around central Timaru.

Air New Zealand flights are available between Wellington and Timaru. Timaru is a two hour drive from Christchurch. There will be a basic cost of $40 per delegate to defray expenses. (This does not include the cost of the meal on Saturday evening.)
