Kathleen Scott, wife of Robert Falcon Scott was a free spirit. This is a moving story of a woman behind the Antarctic Hero.

Jenny Coverack performs a one woman adaptation of Kathleen's life derived from autobiography and diaries.

Jenny Coverack trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and has performed A Father for My Son approximately 35 times, one of those was on board the cruise ship Kapitan Khlebnikov, a powerful, conventionally powered polar class ice breaker converted for passengers. Her performance took place in the Ross Sea region, close to Scott's Hut on Cape Evans. This is probably the furthest south that a professional stage play has ever been performed. Jenny was also invited to Buckingham Palace for a reception of Exploration and Adventure on the 8 December 2011 by the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh. Oamaru Scott 100 are delighted and honoured to have Jenny all the way form the UK performing her wonderful play during the Scott 100 commemorations in Oamaru on Feb 7, 8 & 9 2013.
